The Valliammai Polytechnic was established in 1984 with the purpose of affording the opportunity to young men and women to equip themselves for employment in the engineering industry. Since then it has turned out thousands of diploma holders who have been quickly absorbed into various organisations. The job orientation of the courses at Valliammai Polytechnic is backed up with excellent infrastructural and training facilities. This has enabled students to excel and equip themselves with the knowledge and skill that is required at professional levels. The Polytechnic is situated in close proximity to the SRM Engineering College at Kattankulathur.


AGE LIMIT

SC / ST Candidates
25 years for 10th standard passed students for admission into I year
26 years for Hr. Sec. with vocational subjects for admission into II year
For all other candidates -
22 years for 1st and 23 years for 2nd year direct admission.
