ABOUT THE INSTITUTION

SRM Engineering College, Chennai is one of the premier engineering institutions in Tamil Nadu, established in 1985. It is now affiliated to Anna University, (an ISO 9001-2000, approved by AICTE, accredited by NBA. It became a constituent college and a deemed university, ‘SRM Institute of Science and Technology” in 2003. It is run by Valliammai Society under the leadership of Thiru.T.R.Pachamuthu, a dynamic and enthusiastic personality as chairman and the vice chancellor Thiru.P.Sathya Narayanan, a person of inspiration and versatile knowledge. 

The Institute offers B.E., B.Tech., M.Tech., MBA, MCA, M.Sc., & Ph.D., programmes in all fields of Science and Technology. It has an excellent, modern infrastructure in all the departments with over 6000 students in rolls. A well equipped art library, modern laboratories are some of the special features. 

SRM Engineering College a constituent institution of SRMIST is located in Kattankulathur in Kancheepuram District a suburb of Chennai city on the GST road (NH45). Chennai – Trichy National Highway. It is about 15km from Tambaram and Chengalpattu, connected by road and rail transport. 

The department of Chemistry has excellent infrastructure supported by senior, experienced and renowned staff members. The department has also frequently engaged itself in conducting several National level seminars and short term courses for the benefit of students and teachers.

  • To acquire the latest advancements in analytical instrumentation updating with current issues.
  • To exchange views on multidisciplinary applications in various technological fields and research work.

ELIGIBILITY

College teachers working in the departments of Chemistry, Physics, Life Science, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology & Instrumentation are eligible to attend this course.  The number of participants to the programme is limited to forty only.

FACULTY OF THE PROGRAMME

Faculties from premier educational institutions and scientists from R&D will be invited for delivering the lectures.

REGISTRATION

  • The Registration form or a Xerox copy of the original can be sent to the Coordinator on (or) before 25th March ’05.  The form can  also be downloaded  from the website srmuniv.ac.in
  • The Registration fee for all participants  is Rs.150/-
  • No TA/DA will be provided
  • Cheques / Drafts must be drawn in favour of “Coordinator, STTP on Recent Trends in Analytical Instrumentation”.
  • The fees can also be paid at the Registration counter during the programme. Fees once paid will not get refunded under any circumstances.
Accommodation will be provided on a first come, first served basis.
