With India making rapid progress in science and technology, there has been a spectacular surge in the demand for qualified and trained engineers in industry. The SRM Engineering College was established in 1985, with the objective of producing high quality engineers and technologists.In a decade or so, the college has earned such a great reputation for itself that every student, present and past, is extremely proud of his her association with it. Modernof his or her association with it. Modern laboratories and workshops, a well-stocked library and lecture halls with all facilities compare with the best anywhere. Members of the teaching staff are highly qualified and committed, and work together with students to realise their aspirations.
 

Facilities

An Integrated Electronics Competence Centre (IECC) was instituted in June 1996, in collaboration with IBM, USA and TISL, Bangalore. This centre has been provided with advanced computer systems to

give the students exposure to advanced computer technology. Advanced training programmes for our students in the latest developments in computer technology are also being planned by thiscentre which includes training in IBM Mainframe courses like DB2, CICS and so on.

Age Limit

Age limit as on 1st July of every academic year is :

SC / ST Candidates                       - 24 years.
All other Candidates                       - 21 years
Physically handicapped candidates - 26 years.

POST-GRADUATE COURSES

Eligibility for admission


Candidates should have secured a First or Second Class in the main branch of study in any of the Courses mentioned below:
1. Bachelors Degree Course with Computer Science/Mathematics/
    Statistics as the main subject to study.
2. Bachelors Degree Course with Physics as the main subject of
    study and Mathematics at the Allied / Ancillary level.
3. Applied Science.
4. Degree Course with Business Mathematics and Statistics or
   Mathematics/Statistics as a subject of study in Main/Allied level
   of this University under 10+2+3 Scheme or 11+1+3 Scheme or of
   any other institution recognised by this University as equivalent
   there to.
