The
Curriculum
There are
nine sub-specialities in Dentistry. The curriculum in
dentistry is designed in such a fashion that the student
learns about basic health sciences before venturing into
the intricacies of imparting quality dental health care.
The course is for duration of FIVE years. The first two
years comprise of basic medical and dental education,
followed by clinical aspects of medical and dental
education in the subsequent two years. The final year of
the course is a compulsory rotatory internship in all
specialities of dentistry designed to help the students
to independently manage dental health problems of the
population.
Research
Programs
Among the
best facilities are offered to the students and staff
for pursuing their research activity and higher
education including continuing education programs. The
students and faculty are encouraged to utilize the
library, which is on par with other post-graduate
institutions in the field of dentistry.
Eligibility for
Admission
Higher
Secondary with 10 + 2 pattern of study with minimum 50%
aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main
subjects.
Age Limits
The
lower age limit is 17 years.
Accommodation and Recreation
All students are offered hostel facilities (separate for
boys and girls) with all amenities provided for, such
that they do not miss their home environment and further
concentrate on their academic career. In addition they
are also provided avenues for recreation in the form of
in-door and out-door game activities for maintaining a
health body and mind.
