In the e-buzz world, where effective communication in English is a visa to success, the courses offered solely aims at providing adequate training to students to meet the demand in the field of global communication and to develop English (Language proficiency of International standard).

Research skills are promoted here along with passion for the subject. The language lab centres around the in-depth study of sounds (Phonetics) and International Accent. Effective Training is given through periodical practical sessions in the well – equipped audio visual lab to develop LSRW Skills. The New Babe (English Association) organizes lectures, seminars, workshops on English language, conducts inter and intra collegiate competitions, encourages students to participate in extempore, role play, oratorical competitions and present papers at various conferences.

The Department also moulds students to avail overseas opportunities by offering foreign languages like Japanese, German and French as optional.

The members of the faculty are highly qualified and have specialized in subjects like phonetics, Technical English, Communicative English, English language teaching.
